Connor has been doing so well these last to weeks. He is still cruising but today we had our PT Adrienne at the house and he was showing off zipping around the house with his push car. I am just paranoid he is going to fall so I have been keeping a hand on his shirt. This has all been thanks to his cheering squad Pap and Grammy. They have been walking him all around the house since Friday. T.J. has been cheering him on and Thomas has been sitting on the ride on toy to way it down as Connor pushes it.
Connor has been doing well with our modified Constraint therapy. He has been spontaneously eating with his right hand, turning pages in books and grabbing on with both hands to pull himself up. Judy has even been getting him in his cast and working with him too. I find it is easiest to put him in his highchair to work with him on using his right hand just because he is such a Great Houdini. He can get out of the cast so fast. He just waves his arms around or bangs it on something till it omes off.
Thomas has been teaching Connor words too. He can now say cat, truck, block, taco, hi. bye, Bailey, Dar Dar, and the usual Momma, Dadda. We have been working on Pappy and Grammy too.
This past year has been amazing! Connor and I have quite the team. Thank god for each of them and especially for our Infant and Toddler saviors Adrienne, Crystyna, Michelle, and Bev. I don't know where we would be without them. I know I for one would be a basket case, and Connor would probably not be doing nearly as well as he is.
Thank God for Teamwork!
